Back in June, Four Seasons Fruiterers were the lead sponsor at the Hospitality Action annual South West Polo Day at Beaufort Polo Club.
It was a spectacular occasion that brought together the very best of our industry – chefs, suppliers, supporters, and guests. Everyone united in raising an incredible £58,000 to help hospitality professionals facing hardship.
Six outstanding chefs, led by Hywel Jones of Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, collaborated to create a memorable four-course menu that showcased the season’s best ingredients. Joining him were Chris Cleghorn from The Olive Tree, Claire Clark MBE of Claire Clark Academy, Daniel Galmiche, Jamie McCallum of The Painswick, and Ricki Weston from Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa. The dishes from delicately cured Cornish mackerel to aged Wiltshire Downlands lamb highlighted the incredible quality of British produce. Chef‑centric and high‑end focussed quality produce is something we at Four Seasons Fruiterers are proud to champion every day.

“It was a real pleasure to support Hospitality Action’s Polo Day. It was a fantastic event with great guests, incredible food, and all in aid of a cause that means too much to our industry. It’s always a joy to work with such talented chefs, including some of our amazing Four Seasons Fruiters Ambassadors, and to come together for a day of fun and fundraising.”
Franco Ventriglia, Director, Four Seasons Fruiterers
The festivities began with a Champagne Taittinger and canapé reception, followed by a thrilling polo demonstration, a delicious lunch, and the main polo match. A highlight of the afternoon was the live and silent auctions, featuring generous prizes donated by The Headland Hotel, The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, and Northcote. All of which together helped raise vital funds for Hospitality Action.

Behind the scenes, the event ran seamlessly thanks to the dedication of Oliver Harris, Lou Hewitt, Ashley Torr, Bart de Winter, and Adam Willcocks. Plus, there were the superb efforts of teams from Bishopstrow Hotel, Grove of Narberth, The Pig Group, Lucknam Park, Off to Work, Tonic Hospitality, and Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa.
We were honoured to be part of such a meaningful and joyous event. Thank you to everyone who joined us, bid, donated, or simply enjoyed the day!
