We are thrilled to announce that one of our esteemed bakery partners, Hobbs House Bakery, has received the distinguished King’s Award for Sustainable Development.
Among 197 organisations acknowledged across the UK, Hobbs House Bakery stands out as one of only three from Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, and one of just 27 to be specifically recognised for sustainable development. This award highlights their commitment to excellence in sustainability.
The King’s Award celebrates the extensive efforts and dedication Hobbs House has demonstrated in integrating sustainable practices throughout their operations—encompassing everything from sourcing and production to logistics, workforce engagement, resource utilisation, and waste reduction.
Hobbs House Bakery is driven by a vision to nourish both people and communities for generations to come, actively incorporating sustainable methods into their business practices at every turn.
Their objectives include sourcing 100% of their grain from organic or regeneratively farmed lands by 2032; providing ongoing support and development for their team of 170 through continuous training and apprenticeship initiatives; investing in their bakery to enhance capacity for future expansion; and donating surplus bread to local community projects aimed at combating hunger.
From all of us here at Four Seasons, well done to Drew and his team.
