After our post on oil and fat prices, some have said they have just days of oil supplies left.

Suppliers are already able to use rapeseed oil as a substitute, without the need for changing the labelling. Although, suppliers have been pushing them further to relax the rules over the use of palm oil, which is understandably controversial.

The situation has become so serious, that some retailers have imposed restrictions on how much sunflower oil consumers can buy.
