An exciting seasonal collection of heritage and speciality tomatoes – a lavish assortment selected for colour, shape, texture & flavour.
This selection regularly includes varieties such as red green tiger, green tiger, orange maronde, pink plum, Coeur der Boeuf red bell, yellow round, brown cherry and pink beef tomatoes.
Prized in Italy and across the world for their thick flesh and sweet flavour, San Marzano are grown in a small area around Naples in the particularly fertile volcanic soil at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, which is said to give the tomato plants even more flavour and nutrients.
They make fantastic pasta and pizza sauces due to their dense flesh, which gives these sauces a fantastic thick texture, with no excess water.
Mixed Cherry Vine
Roasted on the vine these are little flavour bombs.
Prized for their juiciness and thin skin which causes the fruits to pop in the mouth, they are sweet, juicy and wonderfully vibrant,
They will add colour and a burst of flavour to any dish. They’re the perfect size for salads, to eat alone as a snack and they’re also well suited for skewers and kebabs.
These are medium-sized slicer tomatoes.
Their thick skin helps them stand up to heat in cooking applications but they’re also perfect for salads, sandwiches, burgers, pickling, grilling, salsa, canning, juicing and more!
Just like their vine counterparts, these little beauties are juicy, sweet and vibrant.
Cherry tomatoes can be cooked, grilled, sauced, and dried which makes them one of the most versatile tomatoes available.
They’re a clear favourite of tomato lovers everywhere!
Also called large “slicer” tomatoes they have a meaty texture and intense, classic-tomato flavour.
Their thick consistency and compact seed cavities mean they hold up well when sliced, making them perfect for sandwiches!
They make beautiful Caprese tomato salads and add brilliant flavour to fresh pasta.
These are firm, solid, and perfect for making classic tomato sauces.
They have an almost cylindrical shape with few seeds, which also makes them perfect for preserving.
You may hear them referred to as a processing tomato, sauce tomato, paste tomato, pear tomato, Italian cooking tomato, or Pomodoro Perini.
Vine tomatoes are those still on the vine they grew on.
This not only prolongs their shelf life but research indicates that vine-ripened tomatoes contain higher levels of antioxidants and other nutrients than those picked before peak ripeness.
Ours are nice and large and perfect for slicing for sandwiches, burgers and salads and great for sauces.
