Mooli, also known as Daikon, is a type of white radish popular in China and Japan and, naturally, a common ingredient in a variety of Asian cuisines.
Similar in appearance to fresh horseradish, it packs a lighter peppery punch similar to watercress and its mild flavour mellows, even more, when cooked.
Eaten raw, it’s delightfully crunchy and works well in salads and slaws and is also great cooked in stir-fries.
