Traditionally a Good Friday treat, Hot Cross Buns are an old English tradition.
It dates back to the Saxons who marked buns with a cross in honour of the goddess Eostre, the goddess of light, whose day of celebration eventually became Easter.
Soft, slightly sweet with spices and fruit, these little beauts aren’t reserved for just sweet toppings or toasted with a bit of butter.
Why not try them with bacon and marmalade or perhaps with some goat’s cheese, figs and rosemary… you’ll thank us later!
Available for delivery to our catering customers this week – get in touch to add our Hot Cross Buns to your order.
