Local communities are the bedrock of our nation and a strong local community can greatly benefit families, individuals and businesses in a variety of ways. As a family-run business we know that getting involved where we can is a great way for us to help others – being a part of a community also reminds us that we are a part of something greater than ourselves.
Here, you can read all about our recent work and involvement in our respective local communities.
The Kingham Plough Farmer’s Market – 1st May
Come and see us this Sunday at The Kingham Plough annual farmer’s market.
We’ll be selling first of the season British strawberries and some of the best asparagus in the world, sourced locally of course!
There will also be a hog roast, ice cream, ales and ciders as well as an oyster station…. amongst others!
The market runs from 10:30am-4pm at The Kingham Plough… so come and say hello!
Donations to sleep-rough charity
We recently supported a local sleep-rough charity by donating a large number of food parcels to distribute across the area.
No one should be without the basic essentials or struggle to feed themselves and so we felt compelled to help put food in their stomachs.
Fruit and Veg Boxes to NHS Staff
With family members working in the NHS, we know first-hand the additional pressures stress placed on the NHS and the staff during the pandemic.
To try and help in a small way, we donated and delivered over 3000 fruit and veg packages for NHS staff working at Swindon’s Great Western Hospital and over 3000 fruit and veg parcels to NHS London during the pandemic.
