Autumn at Four Seasons

Autumn is the perfect time of year for soups, stews, pies and plenty of other warming recipes.

Summer may be over, but now’s the time to enjoy crisp walks, cosy scarves and warming, stick-to-your-ribs dishes!

Handy then, that Autumn is a feast of riches when it comes to fresh produce. With the last of summer fruits and plenty of root vegetables coming into season, it’s no wonder autumn is a favourite amongst chefs.

Why is it important to eat seasonally?

When you buy a fruit or vegetable in season the produce is at its best as it’s freshest and holds its best amount of nutrition.

Everything about it is perfect.

As one of the leading wholesalers in our region, we hold a daily stock of all Autumn vegetables, all available for next-day delivery.

Sauces & Jus

Your autumnal dishes will no doubt need some accompaniment and a great sauce or jus can add, or accentuate, flavour and bring all the different elements of a dish together.

Jus and sauces are, without a shadow of a doubt, an indispensable part of cooking.

However, making consistent sauces every time is a huge challenge when time is of the essence. And, being expected to be just as familiar with Asian, Thai and Oriental flavours as you are with English, French or Italian, for example, is unrealistic.

So it’s a good job that we hold a daily stock of sauces, jus and other ingredients to make those dishes pop.
